Good News on Animal Repellent

Posted by Rob on Tuesday, 26 June, 2007

Well, first of all, the Paris Hilton sale is now officially
over. It was a big success and we moved a bunch
of excess inventory. Thanks to all who participated. And
now Paris can get a good night’s sleep in her own bed.

I have received confirmation from the states of
Michigan and New York that it is legal
to send Animal Repeller Sprays to these states.

Regular pepper sprays are restricted in these states.
But we can sell and ship the Mace Muzzle dog
repeller
, Mace Bear Spray and Guard Alaska Bear
Spray
to Michigan and New York.

https://worthprotectionsecurity.com/dogrepellent.htm
https://worthprotectionsecurity.com/bearspray.htm

So, if you are from those states, or would like to
purchase a gift for an outdoorsman living there,
go ahead.

The Mace Muzzle Dog Repellent only slightly larger
than our normal keychain pepper spray models and is
very convenient to carry on a day to day basis.

Besides, the animal repellents are rather similar than
the normal pepper spray products. Even though you are
human, you wouldn’t want to be sprayed in the face with
the Mace Canine Repellent

Of course the bear sprays are larger, about 9 inches by
2 inch canisters, designed to supply enough spray to fend
off a bear.

So do not be caught unprepared! If ever confronted by a dog,
bear or other “dog or bear-like attacker”, let them have it.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

Rob Cook

Worth Cooking Chili, from Worth Protection Security

Posted by Rob on Friday, 22 June, 2007

With all the talk of crimes and the constant need to defend
yourself, I have decided to include a semi-related topic and
give out my secret chili recipe. Ok fine, it’s a stretch
associating Pepper Spray and a Chili recipe, but hey, they
share a common ingredient. Besides, sometimes we need a
break from the real world, and we all have to eat don’t we?

So if you’d like to try out the recipe, I’d love to hear
how you all liked it. If you’d like to counter and provide
your famous chili concoction, feel free to pass that along
too.

The recipe may look long, but it is well Worth it. Several
times along the cooking process, you can take a small taste
and decide if you would like to tweak the seasonings and of
course add more chili powder, Tabasco and/or jalapeños if
your palate would like to raise the level of heat. I dare
you to spice it up to the level of our 18% Wildfire Pepper
Sprays! Well not really, that would be some SERIOUS burnage.

Without further ado, he goes the recipe.

INGREDIENTS

* 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
* 1 red bell pepper, chopped
* 1 large sweet Vidalia onion, chopped
* 1 pound lean ground beef (or turkey – can use 2 pounds
and omit steak)
* 1 pound steak, 1/4-1/2 inch cubes (the better the cut,
the better the chili)
* 1 beef bouillon cube
* 1 teaspoon baking chocolate powder
* 1 cup dark red wine (Merlot or Shiraz)
* 2 (16 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (optional with green
chilies), juice reserved
* 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
* 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
* 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
* 2 teaspoons chili powder
* 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
* 2 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
* 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
* 2 tablespoons dried parsley
* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 teaspoon salt
* jalapeño peppers, seeded, finely chopped (optional, to
taste)
* Tabasco sauce (to taste)
* 1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, drained
* 1 (15 ounce) can light red kidney beans, drained

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook red
pepper, and onion, and meat until browned. Crumble over
bouillon cube, and stir in wine; continue to cook for a few
minutes. Stir in chopped tomatoes, garlic, chocolate and
tomato paste. Add paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper,
basil, oregano, and parsley seasonings. Stir in salt and
pepper. Add jalapeño peppers (optional)

2. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium
low. Cover, and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

3. Stir in kidney beans, and Tabasco sauce. If needed, add
the reserved tomato juice, but chili should be thick.
Continue to simmer for an additional 30 minutes.

PRESENTATION and SERVING

* top with shredded cheese (Cheddar and/or Colby mix)
* Thick Tortilla chips for dipping (Tostito Golds) or
* serve over rice (Jasmine)

Enjoy!

Be Safe, Be Prepared, and Be Full.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to

Women Beaten in Subway, Guards Turn Head??

Posted by Rob on Thursday, 21 June, 2007

A woman was being beaten by a man in a busy subway terminal
the other day in good old Canada. Another man, witnessing
the attack, runs over to the Metro Security Guards to inform
them and requests assistance. “It’s not our responsibility
anymore” was the reply he received. Not being totally
worthless, the guards did call the police, who arrived on
the scene seven minutes later, after both the assailant and
the victim were no longer there.

You have got to be kidding me.

Apparently the security force just handed over jurisdiction
to the Montreal Police force, and were upset with the new
policy. “Our guards have been given orders,” said the
head of the union. “The employer said that as of Monday,
under new procedures, all the security guards could do is
call police if they witnessed an incident.”

Rightly so, this incident prompted public outrage over the
guards refusing to answer both a common sense situation and
their civic duty to help a person in need. Policy or no
policy, use your freaking head.

If this is the service provided, we have no choice to take
self defense measures into our own hands. Of course by
definition, self defense refers to defending ones self, but
in public, in a busy subway station, with nearby guards on
duty (well I use “on duty” extremely loosely) you would
expect some assistance. Don’t worry though, the Police plan
to investigate the incident…

Pepper spray and stun guns are two of the best options
available for making sure you are prepared for anything.
For about $100, you can quite effectively even the odds
with one of our Self Defense Starter Packages.

Apparently it is too much to ask to have certain
security guards perform security functions.

you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

More Carjacking Terror

Posted by Rob on Wednesday, 20 June, 2007

I am always reading news reports on crime but for some
reason carjackings always peak my attention more so than the
others. It is stories like these that make you stop and
truly think about your own safety. Or the safety of a loved
one.

This time Sharon, a 14-week pregnant woman thought she and
her unborn baby were about to die when confronted by
violent carjackers threatening to stab her. She had just
left after visiting a friend when she came face-to-face with
three masked men, swearing at her and then demanding the
keys to her sporty Ford Focus.

When she refused, the creeps launched into a terrifying
attack, punching her in the head, striking her face and
hitting her body. Then one of them shouted “stab her”.

“I wouldn’t hand the keys over so they gave me a good
hiding. But as they were pulling me to the floor, I realised
they had a knife and then the tall one was saying ‘just stab
her’ says Sharon, recalling the vividly horrifying details.

“When I first saw them I thought it was a sick joke and I
didn’t believe things like this actually happened.”

“They started punching and kicking me I thought they were
going to kill me.

“I thought at the time that this is it, I’m never going to
see my kids again or my unborn baby.”

As she finally realized the true horror of the situation,
the 36 year-old woman instinctively thought of her daughters
Charlotte and Amy, as well as her unborn child. She then
handed over the keys to the gang, who fled the scene in her
car.

“To assault a pregnant woman like that is just unbelievable
and I can’t believe I’m going to bring my baby into this
evil world.” says Sharon.

“I’ve not slept a wink since it happened and every time I
close my eyes it’s all there – I just can’t believe anyone
would do this.”

Sharon was walking to her car in broad daylight on the side
of the road at about 5.50 PM. The attack has left more than
physical scars as she now fears for the safety of her
children and is petrified to leave her home.

Just two days before Sharon’s ordeal, another family living
nearby were threatened with a gun when thieves targeted a
black Subaru on their driveway. A gang of masked men gave
the family seconds to hand over their car keys after they
were held at gun and knife point in their living room.

Armed with a grey revolver and machetes, they kicked down
the door of the house as the family was preparing for bed.
One of the men pointed the revolver at them and said he
would shoot unless they handed over the keys to their black
Subaru. He gave them a count of one.

Frantically, the couple began searching for the keys but
they were unable to find them and so handed over a second
set of keys, belonging to their silver Toyota Yaris that was
also parked outside. The three masked men then left in that
car, leaving the family severely traumatized, but unharmed.

The next day, it was reported that the family’s Toyota was
thought to be used in a second frightening raid at a nearby
pizza restaurant. The Yaris drove to the back of the
building at about 10:30 PM and the men, again armed with a
revolver and a machete, walked through an unlocked back
door. The gun was then pointed at the restaurant staff and
the gang took money before fleeing the scene.

The cost of arming yourself with the piece of mind that you
have a chance to protect yourself in what could end up in a
horrible situation is really priceless. For about $100, you
can quite effectively even the odds with one of our Self
Defense Starter Packages.

Don’t Hold Another Sleepy Fundraiser Without Reading This!

Posted by Rob on Saturday, 16 June, 2007

I’m Rob Cook, President of Worth Protection Security, and
please…

Don’t Hold Another Sleepy Fundraiser
Without Reading This!

Good Afternoon Fellow Fundraiser,

In 2006, fundraisers in schools, churches, clubs, and other
non profit organizations were responsible for raising more
than $5 ½ billion dollars.

That a good chunk of change by anyone’s standards.

A lot of good people worked very hard to raise that money.

The money went to good causes, there’s no question about
that.

Hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, benefited from all
the money those hardworking people raised.

But seriously, does anybody have an open peg for another
coffee cup?

Does anybody need another box of greeting cards, or another
calendar?

How about beads? Or Christmas ornaments?

If you’re like me, you surely don’t need anymore candy,
cake, cheesecake, donuts, fudge, or pie; pizza, or fruit.

To be quite frank with you, I throw away at least half a
dozen calendars annually. There are enough greeting cards in
the closet to send one to everyone I know for the next ten
years.

Let’s face it; most fundraisers are a snooze!

I mean, just exactly how excited can you get over decals,
bumper stickers, or coupon books?

Oh no! I almost forgot my personal favorite – wrapping
paper.

It doesn’t have to be this way! You can make money, have a
barrel full of fun, keep everyone wide awake, and provide a
community service when you sell our – in demand – products
at your next fundraising event.

Worth Protection Security is a fundraiser’s dream come true.
We have hundreds of personal safety and protection products
that will make a huge difference in your everyday life.

Here are just a few:

- Child protection kits
- Electronic Watch Dogs
- Diversion Safes
- Pepper Sprays
- Mace
- Animal Repellents
- Personal Alarms
- Telephone Voice Changers
- Motion Detectors
- A vast array of Stun Guns
- Door/Window Alarms
- Nanny Cams
- Bug Detectors
- Digital Video Recording Systems

It would take pages to list them all.

I can tell you one thing though, these products sell
themselves, and most people buy multiples. That helps you
make more money than by relying on the yawning old standards
of the game. Not only that, but when pepper spray you sold
saves someone from an assault, or our cameras catch a thief
in the act, you’ll be a hero for providing a much needed
service.

Contact me right away so that I can show you why I’m so
excited about doing business with you in the future. I can
show you exactly how we get things done, and how we put
money in your pocket. I think you’ll be impressed.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Pool Safety Tips, Just in Time for Summer

Posted by Rob on Friday, 15 June, 2007

Along with introducing our newest product, I’d like to pass
on some Summer Swimming Pool Safety Tips for your family.
More than 900 children between 1 and 14 die each year in
drowning accidents. In California, drowning is the number
one cause of accidental death for children 1-4 years of age.

But, do you really need these statistics to convince you to
do everything you can to prevent this from happening to your
child or grandchild?

Our new Pool Alarm is an electronic monitoring system that
automatically sounds an alarm when children or pets fall
into your unsupervised pool. It’s portable, self-contained
and light weight. The unit is simple to operate. Entry into
the pool will be detected by the Pool Alarm’s electronic
sensor, triggering a loud pulsating alarm at the unit and
inside your house from the remote receiver.

https://worthprotectionsecurity.com/poolalarm.htm

SWIMMING POOL SAFETY TIPS

- Supervise children at all times.

- Never permit swimming alone. Never leave a child alone,
even to answer the telephone.

- Always remove the entire solar cover from a pool before
swimming.

- Remember that alcohol and water safety do not mix.

- Have your pool area fenced and the gate locked to prevent
unauthorized entry to the pool, and install a gate alarm.

- Lock and secure all doors in the house which permit easy
access to the pool, and install a door alarm.

- Have a responsible adult teach swimming and water safety
to your children.

- Maintain clean, clear water in the pool.

- Do not swim during electrical storms.

- Do not permit bottles, glass, or sharp objects to be used
around the pool.

- Ask your pool dealer how you can improve your pool
safety-they will be glad to assist you.

- Above all: remember that common sense, awareness, and
caution will allow you to enjoy your pool.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Have fun, but Be Safe and Prepared this Summer!

Yours in safety,

Rob

Summer Means Cyber-Predators Out in Force

Posted by Rob on Thursday, 14 June, 2007

Not all self-defense can be handled with pepper spray or a
stun gun. With the onset of summer, parents of young
children should be aware that more cyber-predators will be
active on the Internet. These creeps know kids will be out
of school with time on their hands, so extra vigilance is
required on your part.

How sick is it out there? Experts say 20% of children who
enter a computer chat room are approached over the Internet
by a pedophile.

It’s important to look for signs that your kid may be at
risk online. Parents should be especially cautious if their
child is secretive about time spent online, making or
receiving calls from unknown telephone numbers, becoming
withdrawn from family and friends, spending many hours on
the phone or computer, or displaying a drastic change in
behavior.

Instant messaging and websites like MySpace are gold mines
for cyber-predators, because they make young kids all over
the world accessible. A child’s diary used to be a sacred
thing hidden under the bed, but today kids broadcast their
personal information and pictures all over the Internet for
friends and strangers alike to see.

Protect your kids

Here are some expert tips on keeping your family safe no
matter what the season:

- Make sure the computer is in an open area in the home.

- Forbid your kids from giving out identifying information
like their name, address, age, phone number, or photograph.
Tell them why.

- Set privacy settings on the child’s account to block
certain website or e-mail settings.

- Remind your kids that online friends are still
strangers.

- Become part of your children’s online experience by
surfing the Internet with them.

- Consider purchasing filtering software or key-logger
software, which records all keystrokes on the computer.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

We Can’t All Be This Lucky

Posted by Rob on Wednesday, 13 June, 2007

Two would-be carjackers in California bungled a carjack
attempt the other night. About 1:30 AM the two creeps
approached a couple leaving a Denny’s restaurant armed with
a handgun and demanding the car. Complying, the couple gave
up the keys and sat back and watched the duo enter the car
and attempt to pull away in their VW Jetta.

At this point, the couple should have been rather upset and
distraught at their loss, but in this case they must have
been forced to suppress a smile and laughter. The two
carjokers were stumped on how to start the manual
transmission and had to bail, fleeing in their own car.

On top of that, the car’s owner knew the guys and directed
the police to a local Motel 6 where the fools were hiding
out. The only thing that could have made the story better
would have been some pepper spray to make the carjackers
bawl their eyes out in the motel room when the cops arrived
to apprehend them.

If ever faced with an incident similar to this, you can not
hope that the criminal is transmissionally challenged. You
need to be alert, armed and prepared. The odds are out of
your favor and at some point in your life you or a loved
one will be faced with some sort of situation where crime
will rear its ugly head and some creep will attempt to rob,
rape, assault or otherwise victimize. Don’t always hope
the luck card will fall. It doesn’t, or we all would be
Powerball lottery millionaires.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

The Anatomy of an Attack

Posted by Rob on Tuesday, 12 June, 2007

You are walking to your car when you hear a noise behind
you. You think nothing of it and keep walking. The noise of
someone walking behind you gets louder. You turn quick to
glance back and a man larger than you with a shiny object
clutched in his hand starts to jog quickly towards you.

Your brain and nervous system begin to react automatically.
You become afraid and start to run to your car, hoping, but
knowing you will not make it. The fear response does help
the situation and triggers the bodily mechanisms to force
your muscles to move faster, thus making you run faster.
Your heart is pounding. As you sprint faster than you have
ever ran, the adrenaline is pouring into your bloodstream.
All bodily functions not responsible for running are shut
down, your stomach stops working and all available blood is
sent to your legs. Your breathing is faster and the
increased oxygen to your muscles almost makes you fly.
Almost.

You reach your car in record time and grab the handle of the
car door, just as the creep grabs hold of your shoulder and
pulls you backwards. Tired, scared and out of breath the
attacker prominently displays his knife and demands your
wallet and keys. What do you do now? Hand them over and
hope for the best? Pull out some pepper spray or your stun
gun at the last minute and hope you still have time to use
them?

What if he doesn’t want your personal property, but is
looking to get up closer and personal in other ways? Mugger,
Rapist, Kidnapper…you have no idea what will happen next.
Are you prepared to handle this situation?

The cost of arming yourself with the piece of mind that you
have a chance to protect yourself in what could end up in a
horrible situation is really priceless. For about $100, you
can quite effectively even the odds with one of our Self
Defense Starter Packages.

Protection. You are Worth Protection.

natural response to a potentially awful situation an act of
self defense and confidence.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
