Hidden Camera Reveals Hidden Closet Tenant

Posted by Rob on Friday, 30 May, 2008

A man in Japan started to notice food missing from his kitchen and decided to set up a hidden camera to see what was going on. Soon after, his newly installed hidden camera system sent some interesting pictures to his mobile cell phone of a woman intruding in his home. The man promptly called the local police who rushed over to investigate the scene.

Allegedly, a woman who was quoted saying “I didn’t have anywhere to live,” had secretly taken up residence in an unused closet in the man’s house. She set up a mattress in there and stashed some water bottles for drinking. When the man left his house, the woman would slip out of the closet to use the bathroom and raid the kitchen for some food. When the man was home, she remained quietly inside.

The police suspect she has been “living” in the closet for several months, before the owner noticed the food was running out faster than he was eating it himself. The authorities had arrested the woman for trespassing, but would not comment further on the case.

There is no telling how long the 58-year-old unemployed woman would have been able to pull off this charade if the man in Fukuoka was less observant of his grocery bill. Perhaps if the woman cleaned the house and made dinner before ducking out of sight, the man would have been less intent on figuring out what was going on?

Whatever Time The Light Goes On Is Okay

Posted by Rob on Thursday, 29 May, 2008

Over the past couple years a good number of people, mostly women have taken issue with my business, which is selling personal protection products. I have never once advocated starting a fight, or using any products to go after anyone in an offensive way. I have always talked about using the products defensively for self-defense purposes only.

Nevertheless, many women have attacked me for being a purveyor of violence, and a thug.

It stings, but it doesn’t hurt. For the most part, they don’t have any idea of what they are talking about. They have bought into the “Give Peace a Chance” hokem that has been around for all the years I have been standing upright. It will go on after I take my leave too.

It’s a powerful theory, just like Marxism, and it is easy to believe, even though any sane person can see the obvious flaws in the fabric. But I have hope that the landscape may be changing, and there are signs that it is.

Years ago men bought 95% of all the products sold in this industry. Today it is about 60/40, and more and more women are buying every day. I would venture to say that if things continue at the same pace, by this time next year the buying ratio will be 50/50.

That’s an amazing statistical change in a relatively short period of time.

Many of the emails and letters from women today are very apologetic.

Here’s what I say to that:

Don’t apologize… Evangelize! Don’t write me to say that you’re sorry you didn’t get the message earlier… tell a friend, family member, or business associate how to get themselves tooled up. Pass on the https://WorthProtectionSecurity.com website to them.

The learning curve is different for everyone. It doesn’t matter what you did before, or how you felt before. When you hit paydirt, enter the zone, or have an epiphany, what matters is what you do then.

We will never stop all the crime or violence. That isn’t possible. Nobody can do that job. But we can save tens of thousands of people from being victimized, and the numbers bear that out in a big way.

Tell a friend. You don’t have to be a big mouth, or browbeat anyone. Just tell your story. It will get the job done. You won’t necessarily know when or where, but that doesn’t matter.

That’s just the way it works.

Please feel free to forward a link of this blog post to anyone you think might benefit from hearing this message. They will thank you for it… eventually.

If you’re prepared, you’ll never be surprised.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

Important Child Safety Points to Consider

Posted by Rob on Wednesday, 28 May, 2008

Ensuring the safety of your child is one of the
most difficult but important aspects of parenting.
It would be nice if we could train and arm our
children with some pepper spray or a stun gun
and feel safe sending them out into the world,
but we all know that is not the case.

Children are inherently trusting or easily convinced
that something would be okay, even if at first it
appears not. The old “man in a van with candy”
scenario isn’t too far of a stretch.

What are the most important things parents
should tell children about safety?

1. Always check first with a parent, guardian, or
trusted adult before going anywhere, accepting
anything, or getting into a car with anyone.

2. Do not go out alone. Always take a friend with
when going places or playing outside.

3. Say no if someone tries to touch you, or treats
you in a way that makes you feel scared,
uncomfortable, or confused. Get out of the situation
as quickly as possible.

4. Tell a parent, guardian, or trusted adult if you
feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused.

5. There will always be someone to help you, and
you have the right to be safe.

What should a parent know when talking to a
child about safety?

1. Don’t forget your older children. Children aged
11 to 17 are equally at risk to victimization. At the
same time you are giving your older children more
freedom, make sure they understand important
safety rules as well, online as well as offline in the
real world.

2. Speak to your children in manner that is calm
and non-threatening. Children do not need to be
frightened to get the point across. In fact, fear can
thwart the safety message, because fear can be
paralyzing to a child.

3. Speak openly. Children will be less likely to
come to you about issues enshrouded in secrecy.
If they feel that you are comfortable discussing the
subject at hand, they may be more forthcoming.

4. Do not teach “stranger danger.” Children do not
have the same understanding of “strangers” as
adults; the concept is difficult for them to grasp.
Based on what we know about those who harm
children, people known to children and/or their
families actually present greater danger to children
than do “strangers.” It is much more beneficial to
children to help them build the confidence and
self-esteem they need to stay as safe as possible
in any potentially dangerous situation they encounter
rather than teaching them to be “on the look out”
for a particular type of person.

5. Practice what you preach. You may think your
children understand your message, but until they
can incorporate it into their daily lives, it may not
be clearly understood. Find opportunities to practice
“what if” scenarios. If an incident occurs in your
community and your child asks you about it, speak
frankly but with reassurance. Explain to your children
that you want to discuss the safety rules with them,
so that they will know what to do if they are ever
confronted with a difficult situation.

6. Teach your children that safety is more
important than manners. In other words, it is more
important for children to get themselves out of a
threatening situation than it is to be polite. They also
need to know that it is okay to tell you what happened,
and they won’t be tattletales.

7. Make sure your child knows how to dial 911 and
ask for help. This is a skill that can be taught at a
relative early age. Make sure they know how, when
and why this is necessary.

One self defense product on the market that may actually
have some merit as a viable tool for a child would be a
personal alarm. As long as the child is mature enough to
realize that it is not a toy to be sounded for fun, personal
alarms
are electronic devices that emit an extremely loud
siren-like sound.

The loud sound may draw much needed attention to the
situation and increases the risk of getting caught to the
assailant. The assailant would not like drawing attention
to himself and may flee the immediate area. Nothing is
foolproof, but every little bit helps. Hopefully your child
is armed with enough knowledge and tools to prevent
or escape any unfortunate situation that arises.

As your child grows up and goes away to college, you
may wish to consider some more functional and
powerful self defense options.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to
you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection
could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

Seriously, Was that a Moon Pie?

Posted by Rob on Tuesday, 27 May, 2008

I am a fan of improvised weapons if you need to defend yourself in a pinch, but yet again, here is another story for the “Get a Real Weapon” file. It was a weak attempt at an offensive attack, but the assailant was still arrested on battery charges nonetheless.

Allegedly, a 53 year old homeless man scrounged up a buck to make a trip to the local Dollar Store in Galesburg, IL. He purchased a box of Moon Pies, but instead of calmly leaving the store to gorge on said Moon Pies, he started swinging the bag and hitting a 84 year old man trying to leave the store.

The elderly victim went back inside as the Moon Pie Assassin followed. The store clerks called the police who arrested the homeless man and confiscated the box of snacks as evidence. Although the authorities ended up ninjaing the Moon Pies, the homeless guy probably got a few hot meals in the slammer.

It wasn’t reported what prompted the alleged attack. Perhaps the elderly man snagged the last couple boxes of $1.00 Ding Dongs only leaving Moon Pies? I mean Moon Pies kinda suck as far as snacky cakes go… Maybe the 84 year old “ran” ahead and cut off the homeless man in line? Who knows.

Hopefully the elderly man was not injured, sometimes those Dollar Store Moon Pies sit on the shelves awhile and might get stale. A box of stale Moon Pies could hurt. Ok, maybe not. This guy’s street cred in jail is shot.

– Bubba: “Whadda you in for?”

– Little Debbie: “Assault with a weapon”

– Bubba: “What kind of weapon?”

– Little Debbie: “You know those chocolate covered cakes with marshmallow in the middle?”

– Bubba: “Um, yea…”

– Little Debbie: “A box of those…”

– Bubba: “I see. Why don’t you come over here cream puff.”

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you, but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your personal well-being?

Stunning Additions to our Stun Gun Line

Posted by Rob on Monday, 26 May, 2008

We just got a couple unique new stun guns added to our
line up. You really need to click on the links to see the
pictures and get the full visual. Both of these new stun
guns would be the perfect addition to the arsenal of
any jogger or other self defense conscience individual.

The DOUBLE TROUBLE stun gun is like having two stun guns
in one. It has TWICE the contact – totaling 1.2 Million Volts,
TWICE the stopping power!

The Double Trouble stun gun is more effective than most
stun guns because of the space between the contacts.
The greater the space, the greater the effect. Most stun
guns only have about 1.5 inches. The Double Trouble has
5 inches between its dual 600,000 volt contacts. It is one
of the strongest stun guns available at a whopping
1,200,000 volts!

https://worthprotectionsecurity.com/doubletroublestungun.htm

The KNUCKLE BLASTER is a 950,000 volt stun gun is designed
to give you a punch with POWer. It kinda resembles a cross
between brass knuckles and a stun gun. BAM!

Just touch your attacker to instantly repel them and give
you time to get away. Longer contact will cause further
disorientation and after some seconds may drop them to
their knees. Or worse.

This patented device has a soft rubber skin and is sized to
accommodate all hand sizes.

A safety switch is built in and accessible to your thumb.
Once you grab the Knuckle Blaster stun gun you can flip
off the safety and fire with the same hand. No need to
use two hands.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you,
but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could

personal well-being?

Memorial Day Message 2008

Posted by Rob on Friday, 23 May, 2008

As the Memorial Day 2008 weekend approaches, we at
Worth Protection Security would like to ask you to join
with your family and friends in remembering the brave men
and women who have given us the benefit of their sacrifice
so that we may enjoy the freedom to pursue our lives with
liberty and happiness as envisioned by our founding fathers.

While celebrating this long holiday weekend, please pay
respect to the more than 3300 warriors that have been lost
during Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as the 13000
others who have been wounded.

In 2000 President Bill Clinton wrote the following memorandum
which I salute him for.

“In this time of unprecedented success and prosperity
throughout our land, I ask that all Americans come together
to recognize how fortunate we are to live in freedom and to
observe a universal National Moment of Remembrance on
each Memorial Day. This memorial observance represents a
simple and unifying way to commemorate our history and
honor the struggle to protect our freedoms.

Accordingly, I hereby direct all executive departments and
agencies, in consultation with the White House Program for
the National Moment of Remembrance (Program), to promote
a National Moment of Remembrance to occur at 3 p.m.
(local time) on each Memorial Day.”

The Moment of Remembrance was a step in the right
direction to return the true meaning back to the day. It’s
important to remember so we never take for granted those
who have died doing their duty. It’s also important to
remember so we never enter into conflict lightly.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you,
but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could
be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

Yours in safety,

More Tips for Encountering Aggressive Dogs

Posted by Rob on Thursday, 22 May, 2008

Being a lead animal services worker for Public Health
in Wisconsin, Pat Comfert has a number of suggestions
on what you should consider if ever confronted by an
aggressive dog.

If approached by a dog and you are not sure of its
intentions, Comfert advises “stand like a tree”. Offer
the animal a decoy, such as a jacket, backpack or
briefcase – anything on hand that may be used if the dog
intends to bite. Anything other than your leg, arm or
other body part.

Dogs will usually use quite a bit of energy when they
bite and then back off. A small tear or hole in your
jacket may satisfy the animal and save you from getting
bit yourself.

Pitbulls tend to bite and lock on to the object, says
Comfert. If you encounter a dog that latches on the your
decoy object and does not want to let go, keep the dog
interested in the object by shaking or pulling slightly.
While the dog is still occupied, back towards a safe
place, such as a building or car. When close enough to
flee, drop the decoy object and slip inside the safe
place.

“Most dogs can run faster than you can bicycle,” so most
people should not attempt to outrun or out ride a dog. If
attacked by a aggressive dog while you are on a bicycle,
Comfert recommends getting off the bike and keeping it
between you and the dog as a barrier or shield. If
necessary, you may even need to use the bicycle as a
weapon.

Some people end up getting bit while intervening when a
dog attacks another. If possible, Comfert recommends
keeping your dog away if a strange or aggressive dog
approaches. If practical, pick up your dog before any
confrontation can start and leave the immediate area.

Specially formulated canine Pepper spray is known to be
effective to stop most dogs. “But on the odd dog out, it
will make him more angry,” Comfert said. Namely, some pit
bulls were bred to fight and may not be as sensitive to
pain as most normal dogs. “Pepper spray won’t necessarily
have the same stopping power with them,” Comfert said.

If you routinely encounter a dog on your regular travel
route who behaves aggressively, you may opt to change to
a different route. “You shouldn’t have to, but sometimes
it’s the best thing to do” offers Comfert.

Your morning jog or walk may not be a big deal, but if
you are in the delivery business, this might not be an
option afforded to you. Mace Muzzle canine repellent is
an excellent product for defending against attacking dogs.

This specially formulated pepper spray is designed
specifically for dogs and has been proven to be effective
in encounters with aggressive canines. If a dog attacks
you, spraying this repellent in it’s face will stop him
in his tracks.

It will overpower the animal and he will retreat. If you
jog or take walks, then you should carry this dog spray
with you. It is lightweight, easily accessible, and will
provide fast protection when you need it most.

Another option is using the latest ultrasonic technology,
the SUPER DOGCHASER uses two ways to repel a dog. One is
the discomforting but not harmful high frequency sound
(20,000Hz-25,000Hz), audible to dogs but not to humans.
And, the second is a super bright LED flashing strobe
that temporarily blinds and confuses the dog. Helps stop
the approach of unwanted dogs up to 40 feet.

Nothing is foolproof, but when in danger, every little
advantage could help.

It would be nice to believe that nothing will happen to you,
but the reality of it is that an ounce of protection could
be worth more than a pound of cure. What is Worth
Protection to you? Your belongings? Your family? Your
personal well-being?

The Guard Dogs Who Called Wolf

Posted by Rob on Monday, 19 May, 2008

A rather interesting technology is being tested and
used in Israel, using a computer program to decipher the
stress or aggression in the barks of their guard dogs.
This information can help determine the difference between
a dog’s everyday woof and the warning bark of a breakout
or other security problem.

Apparently, even the highly trained guard dogs have been
known to occasionally “cry wolf”, which has contributed
to a lack of urgency at times for human guards to react
to the canine alarm. However, because of the heightened
senses of the guard dogs, they can often smell or hear
the activity of suspicious persons before an electronic
alarm
is tripped. This is when the dogs are not being
harrassed by squirrels or barking to hear themselves bark.

This new canine-computer system collected the barks
through a microphone under different scenarios, then
sorted and graded them producing a set of control barks
that measure the significance of new live barks. Once
they collected several thousand barks into the computer,
the program effectively figured out “what makes the
emergency bark different than the other barks,” said
Bio-Sense project manager, the high-tech company out of
Tel Aviv who developed this K-9 technology.

Now the prisons, or any other of the 100 Israeli clients
using this system, can set up loud speakers and CCTV
cameras
to automatically target and zoom in on the
“emergency barks”.

Back on the home front, we have an alarm technology that
takes the canine out of the equation, but still provides
functional security to your home or business.

Police say a barking dog is an excellent way to deter
burglars. The Electronic Secure Dog is the ideal watchdog
because he does what even the best living, breathing
watchdog can’t do (without some of the annoying problems
that go with owning a dog, like “barking wolf” all night,
alerting the house of squirrels in trees or the mail carrier
delivering mail down the street.).

With his electronic radar eyes, the Electronic Watch Dog
can “see” through thick doors, walls and glass. Once his
cord is plugged in, he’ll stay on duty around the clock,
indefinitely and will bark louder and more frequent as
intruder gets closer. The Electronic Secure Dog can
protect homes, apartments, mobile homes, RV’s, jewelry
stores, hotels, factories, warehouses, public and private
buildings of virtually every kind.

And best of all, the Electronic Secure Dog requires no
food, no water, no walks and produces no dog poop! Check out
our new low pricing during our Summer Security Sale!
